Pretender
This is a beautiful pattern. Very sophisticated. It is an easy pattern to follow with clear instructions.
I have made it in Pink 4ply cotton as a gift for an 87 year old lady who loves pink.
Love it and will make more of these.
I designed this pattern when composing a blog post explaining how you almost never have to do starting chains - you know the traditional chain 3 at the start of rounds? Well it's not just regular stitches you can replace with false stitches. Have a read of the post here if you want to learn a bit more about seamless crochet.
And then use The Pretender pattern to practice! Winning all round.
You can use any yarn of any weight and fibre, and the appropriate hook size. Matching gauge is not important.
I used 8 ply cotton yarn and a 5 mm hook. My versions of The Pretender are 9” across.
This is a digital PDF pattern. You will receive an email with a link to download the PDF as soon as checkout is complete. Please check your spam or junk folder for the email from "Spincushions Downloads" if you don't see it.
